Happy new year and greetings from the sunshine city Sydney. Sydney has done what it does best on New Year’s Eve with another amazing pyrotechnics display to ring in 2017. We decided to stay home and enjoy the show from TV. The show was something truly spectacular and next year we sure are going to watch the action live.

More than one million people reportedly lined the shores of the Sydney harbor.
“This year, sadly, we saw the loss of many music and entertainment legends around the world,” said Catherine Flanagan, Sydney’s fireworks co-producer. “Celebrating their music as part of Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks is an opportunity to reflect on the year that has been and what the future may hold.”
ABC News reports it was the biggest fireworks display the city has ever seen, involving 12,000 shells, 25,000 shooting comets and 100,000 pyrotechnic effects.
